2018: Bohemian Rhapsody (6090)

13 days from Munich to Munich

Discover the magic of Prague, Budapest, and Vienna at a leisurely pace on this Central Europe tour that also includes time in Nuremberg and Bratislava, and overnights in Munich and Salzburg. Along the way, enjoy beautiful scenery both from land and from the water on the included cruise on the Danube River in the Wachau region. Relax as you glide by spectacular vineyards and charming villages. On this tour through Central Europe, you'll also discover the Vienna Woods, a branch of the foothills of the Alps and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Spend three nights in Prague, and enjoy a guided sightseeing tour, including Charles Bridge, dating to 1357 and one of Europe's oldest stone bridges, and the Astronomical Clock, built in 1410 with a sinister medieval figure of death that emerges to pull the bell cord. During your free time, you may want to visit Prague's Hradcany Castle, dating back to the 9th century; further explore the Jewish Quarter; or join an optional excursion. Before arriving in Budapest, where you'll spend three nights, stop in Bratislava, Slovakia's capital. This medieval old town sits on the banks of the Danube.

In Budapest, sightseeing includes Heroes' Square, founded in 1896 and representing 1,000 years of Hungarian history, and a scenic walk to Fishermen's wharf; in your free time, perhaps explore the Buda Castle District; purchase local specialties at the Central Market Hall, an indoor farmers' market; or relax in one of the historic liberty-style spas. Your three nights in Vienna and sightseeing include a stroll in Heroes'Square to view the Hofburg, the palatial complex at the heart of Vienna. In your spare time, you may want to visit one of the many palaces and museums, take an optional excursion, or just relax at a coffee house enjoying some Sacher cake. In Salzburg, your guided sightseeing includes a walk along charming Getreidegasse, where Mozart was born.

This is the perfect vacation for those desiring a leisurely, more in-depth value-minded Central Europe tour!
